TRU Change

The image above reflects the motivations for “TRU Change,” a process of Integrated Strategic Planning (ISP) at TRU. EnviroCollab is one of several ISP projects supporting implementation of the university’s vision and mission through this process. All of these collective efforts are grounded on the Secwépemc land, Secwepemcúl̓ucw, represented by the séwllkwe (water) and salmon in the foreground, and Mounts Peter and Paul in the background. The efforts are depicted as resting within the circle of a drum, signifying the importance of culture, community, and belonging. TRU Change is framed around three strategic goals: Student Success is marked with pawprints of sk’elep (coyote) to signify teachings; Inclusive Excellence is represented by an eagle feather in the specéc (air) as a symbol of earned achievement; and, Impact and Reputation are depicted by Elders alongside generations that came before and will come after us.
